Un caz mortal salvat de Vithoulkas cu un remediu homeopat
George Vithoulkas: "I told you this story about the man that I was treating in the hospital after an operation? He was operated upon in Houston by a Greek cardiologist and an aortal transplant was done for an aneurysm. He had had several aneurysms in different places, but this one was quite large and it had to be treated immediately - operated upon. This man was very arteriosclerotic - to the extent that his sight was disappearing. They could follow the flow of blood. He said that there were certain places where the blood stream was like a pipe when you hold your hand and you feel the swish-swish. This was the condition of that man and he was operated upon in Houston for this large aneurysm. He stayed in the hospital for a month. After the operation there was a fever which could not drop and they thought that it was a process of rejection of this particular plastic that they used in the operation. The surgeon thought that he would accompany the man to Greece, most probably to die. He brought him to his native land and put him in the hospital. They gave him antibiotics - very high doses of Penicillin - thinking that it might have been a case of syphilis earlier. They gave 21 million units of Penicillin. They had three doctors apart from the cardiologist who had accompanied him. There was another cardiologist, a kidney specialist because the kidneys were giving up completely in the meantime. The creatinine clearance was very high. They decided that this must have been a kind of deep fungoid infection and they gave a very toxic medication. The man was left unconscious. They had put the saline and medications through the intravenous tubes into the hand. The hand became swollen and black. They exposed this region and could not find the vein in an intravenous cut-down. And then they did another cut-down in the right leg. The leg became inflamed and black. The man was unconscious and the fever was constant. At that stage - I knew his daughter who was an architect - they came to me and said, "My father is going to die". And "the doctors called us and said that it was a matter of a few days before he would die. They asked if we would like for them to cut on the last foot. We advised against this." They asked me if I would take the case at this point. "
Quite a situation to take such a case. But I thought that this was a way of chance to show them what homoeopathy can do. They usually say that homoeopathy is good for colds and some little upsets which are emotional and that is all. So I said okay, I would take the case if they would agree to stop all medications right away. So I went and saw the man. As soon as I saw him, he was lying there with different things coming from him. By looking at him I could see that there was enough vitality - you can see that - and this was what I was interested in. My heart started beating because here was a case where it was important to be successful. The doctors agreed that I should go to the hospital and treat the man because they had nothing to offer anymore. "If we had a different case where we could do something else, we would say no, but this is a hopeless case and so you can try it." All the doctors were very happy to get rid of that case and thought that he would die very peacefully under homoeopathy.
I will describe to you what I saw. This was a civil engineer. His case was very interesting and very difficult, of course. I found this man who was lying down, with fever which was not very high because of the pumping of all these medications, and laboured breathing, but his face was red. It was not a healthy red, but it was red - quite red. He had already started having bed sores. It had been about two and a half to three months since the whole situation had started in Houston. He had lost contact for the last few days, but not completely. Later I found out that it was not complete. It was interesting that he had all this blue. You would think that it was very painful. The attending nurse would turn him and he would not complain. He would moan if he knew about his condition, but the man did not moan. I was observing. Then I said, "He doesn't seem to feel pain". The daughter said to him in his ear, "Father, father", There was no response. "How are you? How do you feel?" And then he made sounds that said, "I am well". But then of course took some more information. It was interesting that the pain that should be felt - the bed sores and the tremendous swelling of the feet and legs - did not cause any moaning. So I thought it was Op. In twelve days the man had returned almost to himself. The fever had dropped and he asked to be taken to his house. I said, "Wait a little bit more". By this time all of the doctors had disappeared. If they had seen what happened to this man who was near death, but they heard from the nurses that he was getting better. There was a nurse who saw the little things I put in water to give him the medicine. She said, "My son, are you going to cure him with that?" She had seen all of this pumping of medicines and suddenly they take away everything and I go there with this little drop of stuff. She was out of her mind. The intravenous things had all been taken away. All that was left was a tube in the stomach so that they could feed him. Of course he could not speak and all that.
Question: You gave him one dose?
George: One. Yes, just one dose. I waited for twenty four hours and then I changed the remedy. Every day almost, except for one remedy which I left for three days.
I changed the remedy immediately when he started coming back to his senses more. I got information from the people in the house - his wife, his daughter, etc. - and I saw that he had been a Sulph. constitutionally before all his troubles started. I gave him Sulph. and then Nux-v. Then the moment he started coming back, he started swearing. This man was VERY conservative and he started saying words which he had never used in his life. Of course he was not normal then. He was swearing and he had been very nasty with those who were taking care of him. But he did not understand what he was doing and this disappeared later on. Anyhow there was a series of remedies. I made a mistake at a certain moment. I gave Lach. because he had been talking night and day. He talked about all kinds of things and he would not stop. And then I gave him Lach. When he started coming back and he had spoken words and had communicated. With the Lach. I saw the blood pressure go to 200, and his speech became blurred. I thought, "Oh no, now there is going to be a brain stroke and we had it." Finally I changed the remedy. There were little things. I saw the position he was sleeping in and he was holding his genitals. I gave him Hyos. and once I gave him this immediately it took away the Lach. effect and recovered nicely. In one month after returning to his home I asked him to call the cardiologist because I wanted his opinion. The cardiologist had been attending him for a month in bed. The cardiologist came, rang the bell and opened the door, and said, "Good morning, I am the doctor." The patient did not recognize him because he had been in a stupor all the time. The doctor asked for Mr. Fessopoulos. The patient said, "I am Mr. Fessopoulos." The doctor said, "No, not you. I want to see the patient." And he said, "I am the patient." So the doctor examined him and there was a little swelling in his legs and that was all that had been left finally. Then he telephoned me from his house, the cardiologist.
So that is what homoeopathy can do. But of course you have to have the courage to go there and prove it. So this man was going around and telling this story later on - the cardiologist. He said, "We had this patient who was a vegetable and this is what happened. I went to the house and knocked on the door and did not recognize the patient." I heard the cardiologist's story from a friend of mine who had talked to him.
Question: I don't understand. You gave Op. and I could see the Op., but then you tried to find his constitutional remedy.
George: I quickly prescribed the constitutional because the moment that the Op. did something -within twenty four hours the man started speaking and he started moving and moaning. And then I had to act quickly. I thought that the constitutional remedy was the best for the moment because I had no more information. I gave him the constitutional and he developed that state of Nux-v. and then Lach., or what I thought was Lach., and then came back with Hyos. Then he ended up with Apis. finally.
Question: What was the dosage?
George: 200 and 1m.

Apeindicita acuta
That is why Bry. is one of the specifics for appendicitis. It will cure 80% of the cases of appendicitis which are acute. Try it and you see.
I remember one case of appendicitis which was very severe in a child. The doctor saw the child and telephoned the symptoms to me. The fever was high and the pain and sensitivity were in the area. There was no question. I said to him, "Give a dose of 50m of Bry., and take the child to the hospital." So he gave the Bry. and the parents took the child in the afternoon at 1 o'clock. When the doctors in the hospital examined the child they said, "He has no appendicitis."
The fact is that within this time space of three-four hours, the fever had dropped down and was quite low. The sensitivity was almost gone, to the extent that the examining doctor said that there was no appendicitis. The parents took the child back home and the next day she was perfect. That is not the only case. I have seen repeated cases of that type.
Question: If you are going to get a response, you will get it fast? within an hour?
George: Yes. You will see subsiding of the pain within one hour or two.
